Tropical Splendour this Festive Season with Anantara in Koh Samui and Koh Phangan

A seven-course Christmas dinner from Executive Chef Kevin Fawkes, a Noma alumnus and one of the most celebrated chefs in Thailand, will feature delightful reinterpretations of Christmas classics reflecting Chef Kevin’s signature plant-based approach, as well as fine patisserie, artisanal cheeses and familiar flavours paired with exquisite wines. Taking place at Tree Tops Signature Dining, among the canopies, the experience is priced at THB 3,500++ per person, with two seatings every night.
The following day, Christmas Dinner at Ocean Kiss and Crab Shack will see guests dining on flame-cooked seafood and a selection of iconic Christmas mains such as glazed ham and turkey, as well as a generous dessert spread featuring mince pies, Christmas pudding and more. Running from 6.30 pm to 10.00 pm, Christmas Dinner is priced at THB 1,999++ per adult, while children dine at half the price.
On New Year’s Eve, Tree Tops Signature Dining will host a glittering Gala Dinner that will start with cocktails and a saxophone performance at The Singing Bird Lounge, followed by a 10-course tasting menu promising a kaleidoscope of flavours and textures and spotlighting the freshest local and regional ingredients. Guests can choose from two seatings, both priced at THB 7,500++ per person. After dinner, everyone will be invited to join a dazzling countdown party on the beach complete with a glass of Champagne and fireworks at midnight. With a special theme of “A Journey Through Thailand”, New Year’s Eve Gala on the resort beach (priced at THB 5,500++ per person) promises a whirlwind night of celebrations with a delicious buffet spread, live music, traditional Thai dancers, drummers and fire spinners.

Guests can also opt to join island-style celebrations on the beach where a Christmas Eve Dinner will feature a buffet feast combining an array of local flavours and Christmas classics served to a soundtrack of crashing waves and live music from a three-piece band. Christmas carols, gingerbread cookie decorating, face painting, and Santa’s surprise visit will make the experience running from 6:00 pm till 10:00 pm feel all the more magical for the little ones. On Christmas Day, a generous Family Brunch will have guests gather on the beach with a BBQ buffet overflowing with such specials as pan-seared foie gras, charcuterie and cheeses, tender grilled meats that fall off the bone, and endless rows of desserts ranging from macaron towers to delicate, one-bite confections. To ring in 2023 in true island style, the resort’s “Island Chic” New Year’s Eve Party promises endless tropical decadence with dancing on the sand, fireworks and a vast buffet featuring sushi and seafood, succulent meats, Thai and international specialties and mouth-watering desserts.
